WDL: Thunder Tanks interview
Posted by @ 8:43 PM, EST
Gamingmaxx posted an interview with 3DO, talking about the BattleTanx sequel, World Destruction League: Thunder Tanks.
A slice:

GMX: The BattleTanks series set a new standard for multiplayer games. How was the transition of the multiplayer mode for WDL over to PS2?

RZ: There was never any question that we would be supporting multiplayer on the PS2. Four-player split-screen was a fundamental design goal that we achieved with style. Remember, there are four times as many pixels on a PS2 screen as there were on an N64 - so things still look great even in split screen. We made a few compromises to keep the frame rate silky smooth, but it was generally clear sailing. We look forward to implementing Internet multiplayer in the future, but for now we think we've given you a damn good reason to buy a multi-tap.
