Z.O.E. interview
Posted by @ 6:39 PM, EST
C&VG posted an interview with Noriaki Okamura, director of Konami's mech adventure Z.O.E.
A slice:

Paul Davies: The quality of character animation, in particular the faces close-up, is astonishing: would you say that such subtleties of expression are essential to your storytelling, or is the dialogue alone enough to make the necessary impact?

Noriaki Okamura: "Thank you very much. The synergy of the quality of the subtleties of expression, the dialogue, the acting, and the fun action elements that seem to have no impact on the storytelling itself are what make this game a game we are proud of."

PD: Are the levels structured in a linear fashion, or does the adventure require you to revisit previously accessed areas?

Noriaki Okamura: "The story itself if quite linear, but yes, you do have to revisit previously accessed areas at times to obtain items or solve puzzles."
