23 Square titles
Posted by @ 5:31 PM, EST
Famitsu reports that Square recently announced development of 23 titles!
Here’s a bit of the article:

The PS Final Fantasy titles (XII, XIII and IX) (hmm, maybe VII VIII and IX) will be released for PS2 with enhanced features - including new graphics, movies and sound - that take full advantage of PS2's superior performance. Furthermore, FF IV, V and VI are also slated to be overhauled for a new system that has yet to be announced. The release schedule for the remakes is currently set to begin in 2001, with the exact dates taking the release of FFX (to be available in July 2001) and FFXI (scheduled for release in spring, 2002) into consideration.

DAMN DUDE, what are those.. Xbox dev kits or Freezers?? Yeah, they aren't as large as how they appear.. but their still f**king huge. The screenshots are overly unimpressive... none of them show off the special features of the Xbox, except for the candlestick and Malice ones. However the Malice demo hasn't changed from the CES version and that pick of the candlesticks is a bit misleading to casual viewers. Some people may think that the stick on the left is how it would appear on the PS2 or NGC when that's not the case. You could still get a similar effect on the two consoles if you texture the candle right.. the Xbox demo just shows how that particular effect looks in action.

Or maybe SegaCultX is dead. After finding out Sega develops for PS2 and specifically VF4, and DC being abandoned later he probably commited suicide.

Man!it was fun(sometimes) reading his biased opinions.

Final Fantasy 10 is defiantly on PS2.
I do think however that Square is going to make games for X-box.
Two more online games?
I think they are going to make one for each system to see which system has the best online network and then produce gaes for that console.
Or all of them if they all take off.

Perhaps they are looking into releasing those titles on other platforms as well - to help cover the rocketing production costs of the Final Fantasy motion picture.
