Lucas loves PS2, which begs a big question

If you saw the video from the Comdex that I posted yesterday you probably don’t need to read this. Anyway, >C&VG posted some stuff about George Lucas and his appearance at the Comdex yesterday.
A bit of it:
"Earlier reports of a Star Wars Episode 2 game for PlayStation2, officially debunked by LucasArts, seemed more likely today as George Lucas yet again spoke on the technical prowess of PlayStation2.
At the American Comdex show Lucas made the following statement after the showing of a PS2 tech demo: "There was no Jabba the Hutt in the first Star Wars, because the technology was not available to produce what was in my imagination," Lucas said. "Digital technology frees the imagination, so that artists can turn their visions into reality - or at least the reality of movies."
