Republic likely for PlayStation2

"Elixir’s massively ambitious strategic sim is a possibility for PlayStation2, and the still mysterious X-Box

“We were always primarily going to develop for the PC first simply because it’s the best prototyping platform. However, we are looking into converting onto the next-gen consoles,” said company CEO Demis Hassabis. “We’ll definitely be looking at PlayStation2 and possibly X-Box.”

Elixir is currently in the depths of the PC development of the title and console versions are far in the future – the PC outing will not ship until early 2001. “We don’t even have PlayStation2 dev kits in the office at the moment,” Hassabis added."
