Hybrid Heaven Director interview
Posted by @ 1:04 PM, EST
Gamespot posted an interview with Yasuo Daikai of Konami.
A few bits of it:

"OPM: Did the PlayStation2 hardware live up to your expectations?
Yasuo Daikai: I think the PlayStation2 is just as I imagined it would be. However, there are many aspects and capabilities that we don't know about yet.

OPM: What do you think of the PlayStation2 hardware in general? What do you see as its strengths and weaknesses?
YD: Since that it is the highest-grade machine at this moment, I think that all areas of the machine are its strengths. However, I do feel that the size of the VRAM is a tad small. Because of this there needs to be some consideration, and you must work to advance graphically.

OPM: Besides the obvious bonuses of better graphics and sound, what does the PlayStation2 let you do for your games that wasn't possible on the PlayStation or other consoles?
YD: A completely different game can be made, with a high level of 3D, by making use of the high speed of the PlayStation2's CPU. This will definitely become a new era in gaming with the emergence of the PlayStation2. Please look forward to our game, as I assure you we'll be using technologies that we haven't been able to use on previous platforms."
