Top executives at software companies talks PS2
Posted by @ 2:16 PM, EST
“Onslaught” wrote down most of an article from PSM magazine and posted it at a forum. Very interesting info…
A few slices:

"Namco mentioned that PS1 and PS2 will be central to their strategy, but they'll try to bring a few games to other consoles as well. Square said, "In terms of development, it has been 100% PS and it is going to be 100% PS2 starting shortly."

Namco's comment was interesting. "Sony hasn't reached number one by focusing on the competition. It's become number one by focusing on its consumers, and I don't see Dreamcast, Dolphin or X-Box or anything else changing that. Just look at the specs Sony chose for PS2. They could have taken a short-term approach to profit and tried to make everyone buy multiple entertainment systems with separate DVD movie player and game console strategy, but they didn't. They really put the consumer first to provide the best in both technology and value by building both features into PlayStation2. It's this type of long-term customer-based strategy that has made Sony number one."
