From the Nikkei Industrial Daily Monday edition:

NAGASAKI --Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. has started construction on its Fab 2 production facility here to boost production of core components for its PlayStation2 game console.
Additional production lines will also be added at the adjacent Fab 1 facility, which was completed this spring. Investment is expected to total around 90 billion yen. The company expects to hire an additional 100 people.
Fab 2 is slated to begin production next spring and will have 20,000 sq. meters of clean room space. It will be the volume production base for the Graphics Synthesizer 3-D graphics processor, with a monthly output capacity of 6,000 8-inch wafers.
