Metal Gear Solid 2 vs. Onimusha

Gamers.com posted an interview where Hideo Kojima and Keiji Inafune (producer of Capcom's upcoming Onimusha: Warlords for PS2) talk about the start of their careers in gaming, and the current progress of their latest projects.
Here’s a bit:
Kojima: With the PS2, the graphics capabilities are up, but developing for it is very difficult. Even making one room, there's a five-fold difference in the amount of labor it takes between the PS and PS2. But then what the user wants is 20 to 30 of those rooms that take five times the effort. If you take that head on, it will take three to four years to finish one game. That's the difficulty.Full interview
Inafune: We use all the people we can throw at the game, but it's still hard.
Interviewer: How many people are on the Onimusha development team currently?
Inafune: 50 people.
Kojima: Woah!
Interviewer: What about MGS2?
Kojima: We have 35 people.

| Yeah, and btw Chaborf, you are just talking about the Japanese games. On October 26 there is not going to be ONLY JP games, but as well as American and Europeen (end of november). MAYBE the PS2 wont have a success at launch (I mean some disapointments), but I can assure that it will be as much better than the JP, that's for sure. | |

| The thing we all have to remember is it's still early days. Things will get better over time. By this time next year, we will see some truly gobsmacking titles that will really show what PS2 can truly acomplish. Exciting times are afoot from now on. |

| That's because everyone is holding out on false promises proclaimed by Sony. The PS2 is a dissapointment, face it. With not even 5 good games out even NOW to buy in Japan, after what....the system has been out for how long now? I don't want dumb dancing games, fireworks shows. How lame. Even Hideo Kojima said he was dissapointed with the PS2. Now I will buy a PS2 when there are some decent games out for it. However, I will not be in line camping out so I can go home with RR5 and a DVD player after shelling out $500+ bucks. All my money is supporting Sega and will be for a long time to come. At least they are innovative. They try new things. THEY GOT BALLS! | |

| to answer your question, i think that you have to hide the bodies somewhere if you want, and so at the same time you can also kinda set up a trap for other guards and stuff. i agree that MGS2 will be better than onimusha, but Onimusha is not a zombie game, its a samurai..sword game or somehting, and ive read that it has human, non-human, and even insect monsters, but i havent heard about any zombies. and by the way Chaborf, i wont even consider buying a DC, PS2 is way better and the DC is allready going downhill. i just heard on CNBC some guy telling people NOT to invest in DC, because "it just isnt happening" and everyone is waiting to get a PS2. | |

| what`s that? a metal gear vs onimusha! you gotta be kidding. Metal gear is winner for sure.Onimusha is just onother zombie action,but MGS is already legend game and now on the powerful PS2 its gonna rule.By the way does anybody know if you kill the enemy, will the dead body vanish like in the first game, or do you have to drag it it somewhere safe where the other guards can`t find it. |

| The only two games to look forward to on the PS2 so far....(sigh) oh wait! There's that mech one by Kojima as well, Z.o.E or something. But when are all these going to be out? 2003?
