The Daily Telefrag smacked up an interview with James Tsai, Assistant Producer for Red Faction.

ALIEN: You selected Mars as the scene of action. Why? Any specific reason? And will we meet any aliens or UFOs on the planet?

James Tsai: Setting the game on Mars gave us the creative latitude to incorporate everything we wanted to into the story. Red Faction looks awesome

but Volition needs to prove it can make a non buggy game for the PS2 too. The Summoner had AAA potential but was awashed in its own bugs
