ign has released 30 new hi-res screens as well as a 1 minute long MPG movie of SCEI's upcoming ps2 title, let take a look.

"Panic action lives - yes, Deep Space's Extermination has come back out in the light thanks to new information released by Sony in Japan. For some reason, though, the giant swarms of bugs have taken something a back seat. The setting now seems to be a little more conventional, although hideous things no doubt lurk out there in the darkness to consume the game's heroes yet. In any event, Sony seems less interested in talking about details of plot than getting across Extermination's central gameplay innovation, the introduction of fast action to a game that's otherwise structured like Resident Evil and other third-person adventure games. As they put it, it is not an adventure game - the player should feel like they're on the stage of an action movie."
