Baldur's Gate interview
Posted by @ 2:25 PM, EST
C&VG posted an interview with Snowblind about its RPG, Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance:

CVG: We've heard of the usual comparisons with Diablo. What are the key differences and the key similarities as far as you are concerned?

Ezra Dreisbach: "Hopefully our game will be as fun as Diablo. One difference is that our game is a console game. The consoles have been under-served in regard to this type of game. Our game is 3D, which makes the animation smoother and more dynamic. Another key difference is that our game takes place in the Forgotten Realms using the 3rd Edition D&D rules. Perhaps the most significant difference is that we hope to include more traditional platformer gameplay elements such as jumping, blocking, lever pulling, and item pushing.
"The similarities are hopefully all the things that make Diablo such a fun game. The player spends most of their gameplay time having fun, the interface is simple and easy to use, and the game is pretty much constant action."
