Quake III: Revolution interview
Posted by @ 7:02 PM, EST
DailyRadar posted an interview with Bullfrog's Executive Producer David Ratcliff about the PS2 version of Quake 3.
A slice:

Q: What makes Quake different than other PS2 shooters like Time Splitters and Unreal?

A: Because quite simply Quake is the best first-person shooter, and we believe we've produced the best version for any console. We have all the brilliant architecture from the PC version, great gameplay, ultra smooth frame rates, incredible sound, we've added even more game modes into the game and some all new levels. The result is brilliant conversion of an all-time classic game.

Q: What was the hardest thing to do when you made the game?

A: Getting a game that pushes even a high-end PC into the memory footprint of the PS2, especially trying to maintain all the detail and texture resolution at a high fps.
