FFX: Play Test!

for the first time at TGS 2001, the world got to see FFX in action , as well as a glimps of PS2's true graphic potential, C&VG has the story:

"The first observation to make is that Final Fantasy X is, simply, the most visually impressive videogame ever created. Big words? You bet. While the basic gameplay is unchanged, the major shift from the previous three games in the series is that all backgrounds are now rendered completely in real-time. As you walk, the camera follows you and moves around automatically to give you the best (and usually most visually striking) viewpoint. And while you don't have control of the camera as you move, this fits in rather well with the narrative feel of the series - love or loath it."
