U.S. will get MGS2 first

C&VG says that MGS2, the most awaited title for the PS2 will hit U.S. shores before it's released in japan:
"The reasons for Metal Gear 2 hitting America first are pretty logical, according to insiders. Although Metal Gear Solid on PSone sold a million copies in Japan, it’s performance in America and Europe was far better. The first showing of Metal Gear 2 was at US game show E3 in appreciation of this fact. Kojima has previously hinted that the US and European markets are more receptive to action titles than Japan, which is still fixated on role-playing and strategy games."Full article
