Q. What is Power Rankings?
A. Power Rankings is a ranking system that takes several factors of the standings into consideration and ranks them based on a point system.
Q. How does this point system work?
A. The point system is a formula. It gives you points and takes away points depending on overall record, points a team has scored, points a team has allowed, home wins, road wins, division wins, division losses, and finally, the current win-loss streak of the team.
Q. What are the point values of each of the categories used to make up this formula?
A. WIN= 2 points
LOSS= -1 point
PF= 2 points for every TD scored (TD=7 points)
PA= -2 points for every TD given up (TD=7 points)
HOME WIN= 1 point
ROAD WIN= 2 points
DIVISION WIN= 2 points
DIVISION LOSS= -2 points
WIN/LOSS STREAK= 1 point for every consecutive WIN.
-1 point for every consecutive LOSS.
