Anyone know a good site that you can buy a decent Step Down Transformer to play the Japanese PS2 in the US? I just ordered an Import PS2 and I've searched ebay and a few sites, but can only find step up transformers.

Where did you guys buy yours?

You don't need one. I asked a friend of mine who is an electrician that same question when I bought my import PS2. He said that it would work just fine, and it has. I have left it running for eight hours at a time and it has not overheated. He said that most of the overheating issues were probably from poor ventilation, and that the people on e-bay just tell you that one is neccesary to make money. If you are dead set on getting one, they do sell them at Radio Shack.

Thanks for the fast reply. I had no idea it was possible. But I do know that Japan runs on 100v and the US uses 120v (I believe) so I guess it shouldn't be that much of a big deal. Thanks for shedding the light on that!
