Well ,whats it like? What games did you get? Did it live up to your expectations?(that's probably hard to say as you would only be playing the very first games). RRV ,how good is it ? Comparisons of those who have played both the DC and PSX2 ! We all want to know .

PS2 is a really really nice system.I was at work all day saturday so I didn't crack open the system untill 11:30 that night. Hell I've been playing SF EX 3 for 10 hours. But I don't think the games that are out now are really pushing the envelope.RR V looked good but not as good as to be expected. And game play was not really up to snuff. Decided not to buy it after playing it in the store for 5 minutes. In my opinion my favorite system is still Dreamcast at the moment.

Yeah. I was underwhelmed. I bought the only two buyable games (RRV and SFEX3). What I noticed more than anything is the speed. The speed and the real-time environment mapping on the cars (not the fake stuff we're used to seeing). SFEX3 reminded me too much of the boring PSX version, just w/ a tag feature, higher poly count and full screen anti-aliasing (it's too cool seeing the camera right on a character and there being no pixelation whatsoever).
Other than the music in RRV being much better than anticipated, I was tired of playing the games after the 3rd hour, so I popped VO T on my DC and it was gaming as usual.
One last thing: POP-UP LIVES. Contrary to popular belief, the only two PS2 games I've had the pleasure of playing/owning, had draw-in (RRV. You really have to look for it though)and SFEX3 has slow-down when the action gets hectic.
There's no demo disc for some reason. I'm sure the US PS2 will.

One last thing. I love the fact that the power switch is one of those I / O deals. Very cool. Definately geared toward adults. I think the US PS2 should be a lighter color. Just my $0.02.
