Why did this had to happen?Purposely meationly F355 in a GT2K thread WILL start some crap and you know that.Crap can't we have a thread about a PS2 game in a PS2 forum without having to constantly comparing them to DC game.AB started this crap  .

posted 09-27-2000 06:22 PM In all fairness, I think the thread topic was asking for it. If it had been something like "GT2k Countdown!" then I'm sure things would've been different. But you should know by now that often times when something is called the best, it's going to be disputed. Comparing F355 to GT2K is almost like comparing Virtua Fighter to Tekken. Ironically, both VF and F355 were made by Yu Suzuki. Beast is in fact right when he says that several members of the Ferrari racing team purchased arcade setups so that they could practice in the off season. We're not debating how many cars or how many tracks or how many special features there are, we're talking about pure simulation. In my personal opinion, Yu Suzuki is a master at making finely-tuned games. While you may not like Virtua Fighter, it's veritably the pinnacle of the fighting genre. It may not be your cup of tea (it's not mine), but I find it hard to doubt that it is not the most finely-tuned fighting system out there. Likewise with F355. A game with super-realistic physics that, gee-golly, really runs off the DC! It's already out and already been proven to work just as good as the arcade version, except maybe with slightly toned-down graphics.... -Zenogias

The reason I posted this with this topic was because, if you have ever seen GT1 box art or GT2, you will notice it has REAL DRIVING SIMULATOR across the boxes, so GT2000 will also be called THE REAL DRVING SIMULATOR, Geeeez 63 days till all this crap is over and everyone will see that GT2000 will reign sepreme ------------------

Well 63 days and you will once again be dissapointed. Simply because GT2k or GT2k a-spec or GT3 or whatever the hell they are calling it now will NOT be out. Sorry, but try aiming for spring 2001. [This message has been edited by Guru (edited 09-29-2000).]

Guru, that is for US release, In JAP it is out very soon, and before Christmas for AUS. IT was confirmed by SONY Australia ------------------

Anyways I agree although GT2k is awesome it has nowhere near the physics of F355 Challenge! Its exactly like driving a ferrari...IN every aspect! Get over it?!

I don't care about driving one stupid Ferrari car in an overly-realistic sim. I want hoards of different over-powered 4-wheeled vehicles in a game that doesn't take itself too damn seriously  Cue GT(1, 2 or 3)

posted 09-30-2000 11:40 AM I think GT3 is gonna kick some serious ass. It looks stunning and if I know the developers right, it's also gonna have beautiful handling. I want the steering wheel as well! GT3 is gonna rock. Even if I didn't want any other games, I would buy PS2 just for Gran Turismo 3!

There are loads of pictures there and you don't need to understand Japanese, it has a bit of English explanation as well. It's pretty cool, check it out at http://www.scei.co.jp/sd2/gt2000/open.html You need Flash plugin in order to see it though.
