![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() When RPG's and Adventures took the leap from Text to full simulated 3D graphics. King's Quest (By Sierra, A Demo for IBM at the time and later made into a game) is still legendary and spoken highly of for breaking through the graphics barrier. I'd also say that the 16 bit era was a breakthough period for a lot of different technologys to break through to consoles. Unfortunately alot of them didn't work out. ------------------ |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() mine is way back in 1995 when im playing "space hulk ",3D0. We are at the final stage.Genestealers coming for us from all sides.Only me and my recruit left for that stage. Our mission is to get to control center of the huge ship and change the flight path so that it wouldn't hit earth then evacuate to the safe point ASAP . Finally the other guy and me had reached the last 100 meters towards the safe point but its not over yet .The corridor is a At the last turn something went wrong..my partner was beaten in hand to hand combat and was disintegrated on the spot.Im the only one left and my back is facing the safepoint, walking backwards and shooting until i reached the centre of the room...alas The ship did change its flight path at the last moment and earth is safe from colossul destruction..... |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() yea super metroid is a good one, for all of you who dont know heres the ending: there is this metroid who keeps following you around and sapping your energy and at the end it attaches itself onto mother brain and saps her energy but dies trying to give it to you. Then you must get off the planet before it explodes. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() In no particular order; The day I got my SNES - I had been saving up for months and Super Mario World and Super Tennis didn't dissapoint. The first time I saw Soul Blade on the PSX - it was at a friend's house, and I just remember Rock's stage on the mountain and how you can see the blades of grass moving; that was the moment I decided to buy a PSX. Every second of MGS, FF7 and Xenogears (3 of the greatest games of all time). Playing ISS Pro Evolution with my cousin for 11 straight hours and sticking it by an open window as it heated up. Legend of the Mystical Ninja for the SNES. The underground Cable Car scene/segment in RE2. Double Dragon and Afterburner (G-Loc kicked butt too) Finishing Ikari Warriors on my cousin's Amstrad. Gauntlet...man, what a game. Kick Off 2 on the Atari ST. Watching my girlfriend destroy people at Tekken 3 at the arcades (she's a Tekken monster)... Championship Manager 3 Getting all the endings for Indiana Jones and The Fate of Atlantis on the PC...what an awesome game, and the sunset in the ending is beautiful... First time I completed Street Fighter 2 on the SNES with Ryu...and all the associated BS with 'trying to unlock the bosses'...of course that all changed when Turbo/Hyperfighting came out. Seeing and playing RRV on the PS2...

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() well, I would have to say a variety of things things that really made me say wow for one way or another: Sonic Adventure: The Whale Scene, I whad my Jaw on the floor for minutes, the speed, the beauty. Now SA2 is coming!! Blue Stinger: Many may laugh at this game, but I loved it. First 128-bit game, it tore into me, the lighting and blood were beyond my comprehension. I liked it. IllBleed looks like a nice non-sequel followup. Rastan: Pulling it out a couple years ago for 1 week stragith trying to beat this game. Finally, after all the lives and bad potions, it happened!! Also, first game I remember with blood. Panzer Dragoon Zwei: The sheer beauty of this game freaked me out. The berzerker attack was beyond beautiful, so colorful! Deep Fear: Still the game with the coolest FMV's I have ever seen. If you have a Saturn, import this beaut. It will scare the living pants off of you!! And the way those crazy japanese portay Black people in America is hilarious. They got a Japanese guy to do the voice, you gotta hear it! Street Fighter 2: first time I beat M. Bison on all stars up. E Honda, my boy! Phantasy Star 4: those little cut scene graphics, wow, very clear and detailed! Sonic 2: Those special stages that were 3Dish! awesome! FZero- I loved the way they made this game!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I love the end to Zelda 64 when Zelda uses her magic to paralyz Ganon and you nail him right between the eyes. Also FF7 Aeris' Death and FF8 Eyes on Me scene (so emotional) |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() When I beat my brother 100 games in Tekken. (It was tied 99-99, and we had one draw.) You have probably heard the story though ![]() I just got home from the video game club at our school, and I beat everyone at SF2! I didn't even lose once! Ha ha ha. There was this one kid that everyone thought was a Street Fighter god! He even has a SF2 arcade machine at his house. I put him in his place |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() In no order: When my brother and I finally bought a SNES that came packaged with Zelda. It was my first game system and I loved it. When I beat Zelda: A link to the past - This is EASILY, my most favorite game of all time. When my brother and I finished Secret of Mana (#2). Man, that was awesome! I loved the ability for 2 players to play... and the i liked the soundtract, and the overall story. When I played F-Zero for the first time on the SNES. (i luved that game) When my brother and I bought our N64, 3 extra controllers, a memory card, and Zelda When I finished Oot - Sure, the difficulty wasn't that much... but it was Zelda in 3D! It was awesome, to say the least. Playing Mario 64 for the first time. I said, "wow". Playing Mario Kart, Goldeneye, Super Smash Brothers, Mario party, Mario Tennis, Excitebike 64, etc... at my friend's house til 3:00 in the morning. Thats all that I can think of, right now. If you haven't figured it out by now, Zelda is my favorite franchise. And I can already see one: When I get my NGC and play Metroid, Mario, Zelda, F-Zero, PD, DK, and EB... all in 128 bit goodness. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Space Hulk was a cool game.. Probally the best 3D0 game I own... Oh and one I forgot was...Beating the first Ninja Gaiden on the NES. I was a wee little lad then. I remember that to this day. I was obsessed with that game... (Crosses fingers, that Tecmo doesn't make the new Ninja Gaiden 3D. I want sprite-2D madness.!) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Actually MM, Waspman said nothing about King's Quest.. I did, but that's not a big deal. I'm more interested in the fact that you actually like those games.. who'd have thunk it? KQ 1,3,4,&6 are the best IMO. Hmm.. Kinda like the Rocky or Star Trek series where every other movie is a great one if you think of it that way. ------------------ |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() My fav moment would be in Zelda 64 after you've escaped from the tower at the very end and the ring of fire comes around you, Ganondorf bursts out of the ground and turns into huge-pig headed Ganon. The introduction for Ganon where he holds up his two huge axe things with the lightning behind him and GANON appearing on the screen in huge letters truly sent shivers down my spine. Other moments include: |

Taking in the scenery in Lon Lon Ranch when the sun sets (I love the way how time freezes in towns). 5. Riding Epona for the first time in Hyrule Field. 4. Getting the Blaster Upgrade in Mega Man X3. 3. Every moment of Super Metroid, SMB1, Super Turrican, and DKC. 2. The sunrise in Zelda's castle. 1. And finally, the ending in Zelda: Oot. god, that was breath-taking. |
