I have been waiting quite a while for the import PS2's price to drop,but it looks like it still isnt going down even though the american launch is a month away.I have checked a few major sites that carry import products like videogamedepot.com and their prices are still in the 500$ range.Thats where my question pops in,when are the online stores going to lower the price for the import PS2.Or did somes sites already lower the price but i havent found them yet?PLEASE guys help me out.I know a bunch of you guys are also going to buy an import Ps2 now because of the shortage,so someone PLEASE reply and help us all out

Oh and this is my first post,I just want to make one thing clear,I am not Biased to ANY system,I just simply go where the games are at,and right now looks like PS2 is the place to be

I think the obvious answer is that they will drop the price when the demand for the system decreases. If someone will pay $500+ for the system, the retailers would be fools to lower the price. I don't see many people turning to importing the Japanese console as an alternative to getting a US one. I think most people that would do that, would have allready purchased one.

I think they will drop the price sooner or later.

But remember a mem card comes with the unit (i think), so the price will be a bit more than the american version.

If you ask me the pal version should come with a memory card, with the money we are paying.

LoL at Ddaryl,I thought of the name very fast so thats why its corny.Well anyway does anyone know a site that has the modded import PS2 for a cheap price.By cheap I mean from anywhere to 400$-500$.THANKS everyone who has replied so far
