***WARNING This thread may contain spoilers for many rpg's*** For me it's a tie between 1)FFVIII's Ultemecia..Dammit the bitch wouldn't die and she kept stealing damn magic and sealing off summons..It was worth it though. 2)The second hardest boss fight was Parasite Eve..I hate bosses with multi forms. After I beat all the forms you had to go through theat totally screwed part where you finished it off and one wrong move and you were dead no matter how strong you were. ------------------

I had a heluva time with Metal Gear Rex. Sepiroth in FFVII was a pushover it was some of the other battles like the underwater dude that was hard till I figured out the PHeonix whatever / Knight of the Round combo

FF7 and FF8 were hard for me, because i finished the games first time round with such a low level, i hate it when people get their level up to 100 and get every secret the first time round, i think it ruins the game for em ------------------

hahaha, well maybe in something like Pokemon, but not a game like Final Fantasy, it takes all the fun out of the game if you can beat the final boss in one hit, anybody else agree? ------------------

Metal Gear Rex for me, that one took me hours to pass. Also one of the monstors in FF7, but i dont remember the name

Emerald and Ruby, but they arent final bosses, i thought Rex was rather easy, but it took me a while to figure out that you wouldnt last long if you challenged him to a long range fight ------------------

I'm have to agree that emerald and Ruby weapons were too of ther harder bosses in FFVII. It's actually sad that Ruby was harder than the last boss considering how much Sephiroth punked you throughout the whole game and at the end of disc 1 put you in MDK(murder death kill) mode on his ass....he was such a pansy in the battle. ------------------

Emerald and Ruby are by far the hardest monsters I have fought (took me like freaking 20 hours to get ready to kill one of them). The hardest boss I ever fought was uhhh either Lunar: STS or Metal Gear Rex on hard mode.

Actually this is an easy one.The Tenchu game where the second last king where he fought you with his kungfu kicks on the temple rooftop. This guy is an idiot ...if you beat him until 50% damage...he will stop fighting and drink some jap's beer which will make him more vulnerable. So i just whack him when he starts drinking...

The hardest for me was Res Evil CV, on DC. Man, was Alexia HARD, geez, that mutant cow just wouldnt die, but I hammered her with some flame rounds and she was toast! I love the smell of burnt flesh... ------------------

PSX bosses wernt very hard for me so I'm gonna say Sigma for Mega ManX for the SNES. I never beat that boss, I plan to someday...

i beat metal gear rex in two tries. pattern was simple. hardest boss for me was ruby in FFVII or the last boss in parasite eve. that frickin winged baby WOULD NOT DIE! GRRRRRRRRRR! mm ------------------

For me it was hard to beat the RE2 boss.Had very few ammo left.The easiest boss was the Tomb Raider 2 dragon.

The most problems I had with was Ultimecia in FF8. I had ran through the game and my characters sucked. The two first attempts were cut by Griever's super attack, on the next ones I got to the Griever-Ulti combination. And then I finally got through. I was just about to die before I used the final Apocalypse on her. The total time for the final battle was 1h 40min. I was so happy after beating her I couldn't help but to cry. I played the game through a second time, now making my characters walking juggernauts, and the final battle was over in 15 minutes. Or was is even less? Lady, you were here then, do you remember?

posted 10-01-2000 09:39 AM Ultimate Sephiroth was very very hard I had to find the The Knights Of the round table Summon to beat him(still it was hard).Also Metal Gear Rex was very challenging. Oh yeah anyone tried to beat Psycho Mantis with no weapons, no thermal goggles and not the trick with the second controller?Very difficult. Also the boss I had to face for the first time on the PSX.The Tyrant(RE1).I had only 1 green herb and had to avoid him until they throw me the Rocket Luncher.That was a great challenge.

Bah, Ultimecia was nothing. Well, it took me three or four tries to beat her but she wasn't as hard as I had expected. The boss I have found the hardest is probably the final boss of Grandia. Those damn snakes (four of em) keep killing my characters before they can open their mouths to say those stupid battle-phrases. Well that's a good thing I guess. But I can't beat Grandia because of that. I also find that stupid pair, Cervantes & Soul Edge in Soul Blade (Edge master mode) pretty much unbeatable. ------------------ Small Lady

I havenïż½t been able to finish XENOGEARS till now !!!!!  This sucks... After 14 times it makes me so angry that I smashed the joypad on the floor !!! (no itïż½s not broken... tough little thing  )

It's not really a BOSS per-sey, but the last level in Driver was damn neared impossible to beat. I agree with MM. Metal Gear Rex was a pushover. Once you learn his patterns, you can fire off two stingers between attacks. Just stay far enough away that you don't get hit by the lazer and run towards it when you hear the missles screaching. Revolver is a Pansy as well. To hell with what he says.. you CAN use autofire in his tourture room without him finding out. As far as Sephiroth and Ultimecia go, Sephiroth was quite a bit easier than the sorceress untill I figured out a neat trick. In my party, Squall has the restore ability. His job is to heal Zell. Zell has the Revive ability and his job is to bring Rinoa back to life when she dies. Rinoa stays low in HP so that she can use her Angel Limit Break. More often than not I get Invincible Moon. After that just use physical attacks and beat the crap outta her.

Man, that last level on Driver was insane. I must have tried it over a hundred times. I got soooooo close, but I never beat it. I was going to give myself a stroke if I played it again, so I had to give up.

Odd. I thought Resident Evil: CV had a simple last boss. But, Resident Evil 1's last boss was harder, in my opinion. I'm with MM on the Parasite Eve boss.

Hardest boss fight on the PSX I have had this year was with Dario in Chrono Cross.. until you come back prepared for his element.

i just read all of these posts, and none of you mentioned omega weapon from FF8 i personaly still havn't beeten him, cause he is about as hard a ruby was in ff7, and even after i got all the secrets and stuff the second time through, i still coun't beet him. although some of you probably don't know he exists

My hardest boss fight would have to be true ogre in tekken 3, even on easy the mofo is still unbeatable.
