Just asking who is going to buy them over the Offical Sony PS2 cables.

Hey, Riddler. 
Dunno, I don't know what the specs are on the official ones. I will be getting composite cables of some sort, seeing as I sort of have the OK to blow $600+ on the 27" Wega I've been eyeing for a while.

Yea I dont know if I want to get them cause of the price. If price = quality I'll get'em but if price=brand name I'll just stick with the offical sony brand. Yea i'm hoping I get a o.k. to buy a WEGA early next year

I definately am for DVD movies......it is going from my room to the living room......I wil need some sort of switcher betwen my TV and one one in the living room (better sound System) I bought more Monster cable already and I took the launch day off to set it up. I am getting the S-video ones.

I am still unsure about this, so any help is much appreciated! Can I get any S-video cable, or do I have to get one designed specifically for the PS2?

You have to use one for the PS2, because it uses a proprietary output similar to the psx.

The SVHS cable that was used with the first PS console will work with the PS2. it's what I'm using right now. But I might get the Monster cable because of quality. I use their cable with my home theater system.
