Exactly how does the controller expansion port (the gadget that allows 4-player) work on the PS2?? Does it cost a lot?? I'm asking because if I'm getting a PS2, I want some 4-player ass-kicking. Some of the most memorable experiences I've had this generation is taunting my friends in Smash Bros. and Goldeneye.

It will cost 34.99. Sorry but don't expect many four player games. Most developers want put in this costly feature with four ports as a addon only.

I really feel sorry for fanboys that limit the games they play to that of one system. Which ever fanboy you are you will miss out on some great Exclusives!

Timesplitter, Bouncer, Madden 2001, Bust a Groove 3, Gameday and any other sports games(assuming since the previous sports games have had as much as 8-player on the PSX), Twisted Metal Black (also assuming since the 3 and 4 were 4-player) are examples of 4-player games coming to the PS2. And no, this isn't the only ones coming to the PS2. Timesplitter, from former Rare employees. So this game will be similar in gameplay to Goldeneye. And promises not to be the only FPS shooter from them.

Let's not forget about TTT and DOA2:HC. They will both have 4 players. I think if the developers give people a four player option in their games, most people will buy a multi-tap. It is not going to be like the PSX; almost nobody having a multi-tap. I think it will be very successful.

Let's not also forget that you can't use the multitaps for the PSX1 with the PS2.

I was watching this Irish program last night about videogame violence.. Ireland has the second highest household ratios of PlayStations in the world, just after Japan.

All the kids on the show bemoaned the lack of 4-player. So mainly the show focussed on the N64.

It had 4 kids playing Perfect Dark, and they said that on your own it's antisocial.. but it gets very social once you have 4 people around...

Have fun with your multitaps. Because I have fun with my N64 that has (guess this, Sony users) 4-PLAYER BUILT-IN! Wow! Isn't that great?

And you know what? Sony still hasn't cottoned on. X-Box, GAMECUBE and Dreamcast all have 4 player built in too!

Multitaps...

i plan to purchese a multitap because it would be nice to have a couple extra controller ports. i plan to place my dvd remote sensor in the second port; multitap being in the first. i think it will be nice, but i liked the original playstation's multitap design much better. playstation2's just looks bulky... what do you guys think about the design? surley you agree...
