Anyone else getting a vertical stand along with there system? My friends think its a waist of money but I think it makes the system look way better.. I don't know maybe its just me?

I will have to get it b/c of my entertainment set up and I will still have the PSX in the same spot. PLus it does look better with it. ------------------

nope, not buying one. Why? Because, as far as I know, you can still stand it up vertically without one.

Buy a stand, I've got much much better things to do with the cash. A vertical or a Horizontal stand will not improve my gaming experience so I'll blow that cash on cables [This message has been edited by ddaryl (edited 10-01-2000).]

You really don't need the stand. The system is quite stable without it. I kept mine vertical for a while, but only cause it looked cool. The idea of a horizontal stand is just insane. I see no purpose for it, unless you want to put the system on the carpet. If you are going to keep your system on the carpet are you really going to take the time to put it on the stand? I doubt it. Take Ddaryl's advice and buy cables or save your money.

I don't want to waste my hard-earned money on something that has no use... I'll use the money for an extra controller or a memory card.

Nope not getting it, it won't fit into my entertainment system vertical. It will probably take over the spot my PSX is in, unless I decide to leave it on my coffee table next to DC(too lazy to get up to change games).

I originally thought that the stands came with the system, and I was disappointed when I found out that you had to purchase them seperately. But it does look cool, horizontal or vertical...you never know...

Well, I pre-ordered the one from Interact. It goes for $9.99 and has slots built into so you can store your DVD/Game cases. PS2_Guy

The vertical stand makes the ps2 look great, but im not getting it because its a waste of money to me, and besides you can knock it over and possibly ruin ur ps2 but i highly doubt it though. But it is better to be a little skeptical(spelling?) so my $300 doesnt go down the drain

i never intended on getting one, but when i think about it, what if i have it setup verticle and i accidently pull too hard on the controller and the chord then the system comes crashing down... eep.

The PS2 imo looks much better vertically.I'll have my PS2 up aganist a wall just incase it it might fall.
