We've been assured by SCEE representatives that these screen shots were taken from a working build of the game, and are not mock-ups. In fact, they've gone so far as to say that the final version will look even better once lighting, shadows, reflections, dirt textures and other effects are added. Take a look at this work in progress...

Can you say bulls***? I hope that is realtime, but like I said, I don't believe Sony when it comes to screenshots. I'll believe it when I see it running on my PS2. I've been fooled before.

I think it's real time, but others would say it isn't. Look, you all belive what you want to belive. Text of what I belive is true doesn't seem to sway the non believers. So lets just wait and see.

(this sig really reigns true in this stage of the PS2's life doesn't it!

Maybe its real, maybe its not - either way it will still look worse coming through a TV.

They say the ps2 is like five times the power of the dc or something like that. It was only a matter of time before the games left the dc behind. I think sony is using these game developers(sony europe) to experiment with anti-aliasing.

The purpose of development systems is to simulate the hardware itself. The game should look the same on either.

Love to see how it looks once they start working on the lighting, that's probably what it needs the most right now.

It would help if you were more specific.

Oddworld ps2?

There was a playable version present at E3. Other screens may have come from the PC version.

Tony Hawk?

I have no idea whatsoever about this one.

Shenmue face demos?

I'm fairly sure these were made by Sega to show off the DC, not from actual parts of Shenmue.

oddworld. rumors float around that ps2 does not have enough video ram to create the game to their liking.

tony hawk, remember the preview pics? since when did it go from awesome to bleem?

shenmue face demos. the demos that were first shown.

another, jaggieless rr5 pics.

i never believe the preview pics, 99 percent lies.

lies lies lies lies lies lies

hmmm... but i guess i can be just speaking out of my ass, and you're 100 percent correct with your statement, preview pics of games from development stations always look identical to the final product on our tv screens huh?

i learned to always follow the motto, if it looks too good to be true, it probably is.
