I figured i mabye wait awhile for a price drop to buy it. Are pick one up on ebay. Are if online store has a good coupon.
Unless someone figures out how to do something special with that certian model of ps2 like play imports.(example sony taking
away that port where you hook up game enhancers)Iam glad i bought mine before that happened. But i dont wanna buy it too early because i heard some of the launch playstation had problems with overheating and stuff.( My psx still works fine)
Most of all iam waiting for the official launch games list before i make a decision.
But the way it looks none of the titles i want are gona be at launch(some may make it)
Mgs2
soul reaver 2
oddworld
amored core 2
navy seals(havent heard anything about it but the name is cool)
the world is not enough
final fantasy
dark cloud
ninja gaiden(anybody hear anything about it,it was planed to be launch with ps2)
gunslinger
onimushu
pirates of skull cove(i cant believe e.a. actuly is making a pirate game.
theres also this little thing, will there be enough ps2s which i dont buy,it might force me not even to try and get one instead of running crazy trying to get one.
What will be the first game you think will
show ps2 supier technolgy or will it go untapped for ever.

I'd bet that the Final Fantasy X will really show the system's true power. I have faith in Square to bring us the absolute best in technology with their flagship title. There may well be another game before that, Getaway is looking good, but that's the one I look to.

Next year when we start getting a steady stream of games comming in and we should be able to see the diversity of graphics that the PS2 will be able to produce.

i think getaway and gt2000 will be fine titles for the ps2. but ocmpare psx launch titles to games like tekken 3 and other more recent games. they will steadily improve throughout the life of the system.

Well, for 'Knock Their Socks Off' I think the first will probably be either Final Fantasy X or the as of yet unknown game that Naughty Dog is working on.

I think it will be ffX or perhaps *Gulp* starwars flight sim might be a great game. the graphics look unbelievable and it IS a STARWARS sim! I'm just hoping Lucas Arts can finaly put out a decent game!
I agree that the games can only get better and as stated above gen 1 games are always a couple steps below what the graphics should be.
Ihave no doubts that the ps2 WILL be everthing sony says it will, but not for a year or two...

i wish their could be a star wars arcade shooter kinda like starfox, with psx core, action...
i think will start to see PS2 impressive game shortly after launch. Summoner could be the very first one. GT2000 also...

We are already seeing the power of PS2 wth games like The Getaway,Wipeout Fusion,Dark Cloud,ZOE and Final Fantasy 10.Plus i KNOWthere games we havent heard about

I would be willing to bet money that Dark Cloud and Summoner will be the games to have when the PS2 launches. If either of these titles dont make launch i would be VERY suprised if they dont make it within a month of launch.
PSX was known for its RPGs i think the PS2 will follow the same path.

I will buy Dark Cloud and Summoner. I love rpgs. TTT is also on my list along with MGS2.
Madden 2001 is definetly on my must have list too.
