1.8 million copies of Metal Gear Solid 2 sold

Konami of America announced today that more than 1.8 million copies of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty have now been sold into the retail channel since the game first shipped on November 13, 2001.
Here’s a bit of the press release:
“We’re thrilled with the business that Metal Gear Solid 2 has done in its first two weeks on store shelves,” said Dick Wnuk, Executive Vice President of Konami of America, Inc. “Reorders were coming in from the retail level by the end of the first day of sales. We knew that there was going to be a huge demand for the new Metal Gear, but even we have been surprised by the overwhelming reaction from gamers across North America.”

| playstation has set itself apart from other systems by always given gamers the type of games they want. siphon philter, twisted metal, final fantasy, grand theft auto, tomb raider and of course metal gear.metal gear solid 2 with only 80kb proves it dosent take a lot for you to get a lot. take that x-box and game cube. metal gear solid 2 blows away the others. i love the peaking around corners and hanging from ledgs (great additions, that saved my life many times). also the computer a.i. is much more noticable than ever with the computer noticing wet foot prints, blood trails, etc. if it dont look right they will investigate. this metal gear is definately the most addictive. the other systems have nothing. ppfl (playstation player for life). | |
