Ridge Racer V review

Thanks to one of PS2 Central's foreign correspondents, we can give you guys a fat Review of Namco’s launch game, Ridge Racer V.
Here's a bit:
"The racetracks are beautifully made, the surrounding of the tracks are amazing. But I think that the tracks could have been more fun to play. More sharp corners, more twists and thinner roads. Most of the tracks in the game are very wide, and easy to maneuver around, I think that it adds to game play when the track width changes in and out of the corners. But the tracks in R.R V. are very easy to race, and it doesn't take long at all to learn them. This is a good thing though, because the user will soon learn the perfect race line."

Comment: These are just the launch games for the PS2 which to be honest have been rushed and have certaingly not even begun to tap into the PS2's power. Just wait a few months till the next games arrive like Dark Cloud and Munches Oddysey and then we will start to see some really special things for Sony's console. The Dreamcast simply can not produce graphics of that standard!

Comment: playstation2 sure came as a disappointment...slow down already showing as was in street fighter...and pop ups in ridge racer. Don't worry everyone, dolphin and x-box are around the corner. God, i had such high expectations...oh well, sony sure took everyone as a fool and hyped the console's power to such a degree that we thought it would be a virtual supercomputer...please!
