If it is really successful, sure it might have the market share that Sony now holds but there's plenty of room in this industry for 4. That's what I believe anyway.

Another side note is the fact that the tech demos showcased during the announcement were NOT realtime as in the case of the PS2. They were all pre-rendered with the console's specs guiding the rendering process. I don't really care if the robot demo is only using 25% of the system's power, if it's not real-time, it's not using ANY power. That little side note is from psx2.com so eat it.

Comment: Trikster, I don't get exactly what the difference is between what Gates is doing now, and what Sony did in '94. Back then everyone was saying that Sony was just trying to buy their way into a new market. Now they have, what, 70% of that market? And a lot of die hard fans such as yourself (and me as well). I just got my PS2 today, and it seems pretty cool (the games are lame though). If MS wants to come out with something cooler, more power to 'em.
