Acclaim announces three new titles for the PS2

A few lines from the press release:

Acclaim will release its gold-standard sports title All-Star Baseball 2002 as well a new games based on the Ferrari Formula 1 and 360 Challenge series on the PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system. Acclaim's upcoming games promise to take full advantage of the new hardware system's powerful technology by featuring breath-taking graphics, immersive gameplay, and incredible digital sound.

Acclaim is currently developing several new games for the PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system to be released during the Company's fiscal year 2001 (Sept. 1, 2000 - Aug. 31, 2001).

As part of the Acclaim's PlayStation 2 strategy, Acclaim will develop new and unique character-based games that will be platform exclusive. "We are dedicated to working closely with Sony Computer Entertainment to develop unique titles that take full advantage of this groundbreaking next generation system," said Greg Fischbach, co-chairman and CEO of Acclaim Entertainment

"We will vigorously support the PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system with the introduction of new, exciting and high-quality titles during the launch period and ongoing. We will launch several new strong brands, such as Ferrari, and introduce Acclaim Sports titles leading with All Star Baseball 2002."

I know a lot of people are pretty excited about ps2. But let me tell you that is gonna be a big piece of shit. So dont spend your money on that stupid Guaystation. Get the real stuf just like the Dreamcast

Comment: So DC God, you think ps2 sucks ehh? How about your great DC games, take sega rally for instance; it lowers its fps from 60 to 30 in corners and even lesser screenrates. Now THAT sucks! let`s face it; fact is that ps2 is much more powerful, better constructed (the don`t burn out like you childish DC!) and the games will be more interresting. I guess you don`t know when your DC has lost...loser!

Comment: Both PS2 and DC are going to be great systems, hopefully the X-box as well. Sure, technically the PS2 is a more powerful machine, but does that make it a better game machine? The proof is in the games, and to be honest......give PS2 a chance! It has just been released, c'mon, barely any of the power has been utilized etc etc. I personally would pay full price for the PS2 just to get the next metal gear. In the end, all systems are great because they all have their awesome games!
As for Ack-lame!: Please, I hope that they take their poor Turok games somewhere else, preferably the dump. Face it, they suck. SUCK!

I am actually interested in what can Acclaim come up with especially the Ferrari game since I am a Ferrari fan. Oh and by the way this is not a DC web site so please do not mention DC too often. DC God, type this kind of comment in a Sega web site.

Comment: Sorry guys But Ps2 is better then DC. It might be hard to accept but it's true. The launch titles don't even come close to showing the true power of PS2. It's going to tke time, and when we do see it it's going to be something very special. So don't go making conclusions when the machine has only just been launched!

Comment: Well, what can I say? I'll be honest- DC has a killer line up of games. Shenmue Chap.1 singlehandedly could take on all current and planned PS2 games!!! And I'm not even mentioning Shenmue Chap.2!!!
