Playstation2 is a very powerful machine and you are underestimating it.The graphics of TTT are better than the CG,s of tekken(1).The game is first generation and the developers don,t know so much about the capabilities of the PS2.THe PS2 also has the emotion engine the most advanced chip in the world. It makes the gameplay of a game more realistic it also produces highly detailed graphics.Nobody knows what could happen in the future.I will give you an example, take the graphics of air combat and compare them with the graphics of ace combat3.You can easily notice the graphical improvement between a first generation game and a third generation game.Take the graphics of tomb raider and compare them with those of legacy of kain:soul reaver. So I mean you can expect even better graphics in the future! And mind you PS2 is more powerful yhan X-box and dolphin.

Well maybe if they use 100% of PS2 capabilities the quality might reach almost rhe cgi graphics quality but not completely.Only future will tell.

I dont think Ps2 cant do real time graphics like that but who knows?

One more thing:

I seriously doubt even X-Box will be able to render scenes as good as unknown's ending in real time either- the demos Microsoft showed at GDC were MUCH less impressive than that (even though they were shown on early hardware). Even that robot demo with the action chick doing tae-bo (which was pre-rendered cg by the way, not real-time) wasn't as impressive as Unknown's ending.

Nope, Irvin, I doubt that will happen with the ps2. You can always do alot more with pre-rendered cg than you can with realtime, ps2 graphics are awesome, but trust me, it does NOT have the power to do something like unknown's ending in real time, and I'm willing to bet the farm on that (not literally). Even by the time the 3rd generation of ps2 software rolls around, I doubt they'll ever be that pretty. PS3, on the other hand, will probably HAVE to be capable of doing stuff like that in real time to be enuf of a graphics leap over ps2 for it to even sell.

Unknown we shall see in the future if the PS2 cant make REAL TRIME graphics in the same quality of unknowns ending.WEait until the programers learn how to use the PS2 power.

look everyone...unknown's ending is in CG, not realtime...any competent living person with two eyes and a brain could see the graphical difference between this ending and real-time graphics of the game. In no way does the playstation2 have what it takes to render something like that in real-time, maybe the x-box does, but never the playstation2...and that's that!

Hey Neo are you sure every ending in TTT is in real time?I mean there is no jagging in Unknowns ending, and it looks very VERY VERY(!!!!)IMPRESSING.Not that TTT real time graphics arent. But there is a lot of difference between Uknowns ending end other endings.

Hi there, the handling in Type-s is spot on, I am really enjoying this game. It's a little hard to get into, but once you have figured out the control system, it's a piece of cake. It's great, I am having more fun with type-s than I had with Ridge Racer.

Tekken Tag, is amazing, it's a site to behold, yeah all the ending sequences are all done in real time, They are great, fun and sometimes confusing, but I like them!

HOLY CRAP! I am a huge Tekken fan, and I can't wait to get my grubby hands on this. 1 question tho...aren't ALL the endings done in real time? If so, does that mean Unknown's ending is real-time? I can't wait for Tekken 4. Hey Neo, is the control in Type-S as bad as they say it is?

Hi there, Yes this is the Neo from the PSX2online forum...Ok, the Jagged lines are notice able, Ridge ridge Racer is the bigger culprit of this.

I don't think it's anything to worry about, I think that it a stage in the development cycle.

Yes, at the moment the jagged lines are more noticable than a DC. But let the developers get to grips with the machine...the next wave of software should have this problem fixed once and for all.

I am going to the Tokyo Games show tomorrow, I'll let you know what the next wave of software is like. See ya...back to playing TTT and driving E-motion.

Oh yeah, one thing that is bad about Driving E-motion. You have to wait for 45 Seconds for the game to load up...

Are you the Neo from the psx2online forum?

Anyways, what do you think of the PS2 graphics so far? Can you tell us anything about the 'aliasing problems'? Do the games look any more jagged than DC games? Is it really noticable enough to detract from the games overall appearence (do this make DC games actually look better in as far as jaggedness)?
