Although their 'line up' was strong, their 'appearance' wasn't. This is because most of the games were already released.

Why can't we all just get along?

Quote from Segaweb:

You mean all that ain't enough?! Well, PS2 had a strong line-up too, although the best stuff comprised of stuff that has just been released: Tekken Tag, Type-S, and the phenomenal DOA2. Tecmo's whole stand was devoted to that sucker). And Tecmo's stand also had the prettiest booth-babe I have EVER had the pleasure to say 'sumimasen' to. Although I have all the materials I need, I'm toying with the idea of returning in the morning...

And that's about all the goss. Sega rocked, PS2 was also strong, ...... . What else is new. !

Quote from Irvin:

Even in Segaweb they admit that PS2's appearance was strong

Irvin:When i say something it means its true.

Quote from Segaweb:

The show, with hindsight, was definitely owned by Sega. As any multiformat site will tell you as forwardly as we will, Sony had a few impressive titles, but they'd already hit the shelves in Japan! That left very little else, and in the light of Sony's monumental DVD mess-up, feeling towards Sony was not good among many showgoers.

And a great, promising and fulfilling showing from Sega...

Sega, on the other hand, had many triple A titles, both already-revealed and brand new. Anything that HAD already been revealed (MSR for example) had new areas or features to boast of at TGS. Jet Set Radio is a massively impressive title, original in both appearance and concept, and it pretty much stole the show. Phantasy Star Online looks incredible, as do the wealth of other RPGs that were at Sega's stand, and Metropolis looks totally amazing. Tokyo Extreme Racer 2 (Shutoku Battle 2) is perhaps the most impressive-looking Dreamcast game ever created.

Quote from Irvin:

Even in Segaweb they admit that PS2's appearance was strong

Mmmm, it sure sounds like they had an incredible showing, just look how 'strong' even Segaweb makes them out to be. Stop dreamin.

PS2 was going to be born wether Sega was there or not. It was inevitable that Sony would go ahead with it's project.

The TGS coverage of www.videogames.com now contains a time-adventure for PSX2, called
Day of Walpurgis. It's from Konami and looked very, very cool so check it out!

Why does it always have to be DC vs. PSX2?
They're both great aren't they? PSX2 is better
with the specs but still has got a lot to porve.
Sega has a year ahead of PSX2 and it wil be hard for Sony to come back strong with PSX2. I guess everyone loves console-wars. If there weren't any
nobody would make a good console. PSX2 was born
because of the DC. At least that's what I think.

Even in Segaweb they admit that PS2's appearance was strong. That means its almost like SEGA is admiting .Ok compared to DC it wasnt very strong but it was.

Wow!!

If the PS2 came out a year ago, it might have been better than the DC.

'PS2's appearance was strong too'??

PS2's appearance was laughable. Just take a look at any gaming site's coverage and they'll tell you this. Oh yeah, that's right, they're all biased towards the DC.

C'mon and face it - The PS2 is starting to look quite shocking. I wanted one too to begin with - then I saw Soul Calibur - the same things not gonna happen with RR5 or TTT - You know it.

Ok DC had a strong appearance and strong line up.But PS2's appearance was strong too. Many games shown do look promising.Just imagine those are just the first games.
I wonder how the future of PS2 is going to be.
Dc first TGS appearance were weaker than this.I have to admit though, DC is getting stronger.
