PS2 export control

More on the PS2 export control, from the Nihon Keizai Shimbun Tuesday morning edition:
TOKYO --Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. has been authorized to export its home-use PlayStation2 game console, company sources said. The console "may be exported to any region of the world, except Iran, Iraq, Libya and North Korea," a spokesperson for SCE said.
The company will sell the latest PlayStation in the U.S. and Europe as early as autumn.
The Ministry of International Trade and Industry issued the firm with four export permits, covering, among others, the console's image-processing technology and its encryption technology used to read data from external memory media. The device's state-of-the-art image-processing technology enables the user to move about movie-quality computer graphics on screen, the company claims.
Export of the machine has been regulated under foreign trade and exchange laws, which restrict the sale overseas of goods that can be adapted for military use. The console's technology and parts are sufficiently sophisticated to be legally classifiable as adaptable for use in missile guidance systems or decoding equipment.

| Ps2 is coming no more problems....YEAH!!! Its not only the DC that will be blown away according to Nintendo the Dolphin is delayed again...(how ironic) and I dont think that one will stand a chance.... N64 didnt so why shall the Dolhpin... cheers! |

| Hi, Iron Curtain. Tu espaol es bastante correcto, a excepcin de los tiempos verbales (estdiatelos mejor!!),y tambin alguna palabra o expresin americana que no debes traducir literalmente al espaol. Pero tu espaol se entiende perfectamente, dont worry. Yo tampoco tengo un ingls perfecto, pero espero que vosotros lo entendais bien. Si vienes a Barcelona me encantara recibirte en mi casa para jugar a la PS2, y para "charlar" (significa "talk"). Espaa es muy bonita, tal vez uno de los paises ms bonitos de este planeta. Lo que mas te gustar es la comida (all en Nueva York comeis muy mal,eh?, dont you?), la gente, el clima ("weather", I think), las chicas (oh yeah! the girls!), los museos,etc. La ciudad ms bonita que hay en Espaa es Barcelona (do you remember the Olimpic Games of Barcelona?, may be La Sagrada Familia?).Te gustar mucho, seguro. | Hey Kaneda, I don't know if your blind or not, but this very website has the movie (3 or more last time I checked) that you are looking for. On the main page psx2central.com/main.php3 you will find a link that is on the left and slightly down that reads 'Downloads'. Click this link. Then approx. half way down the page, you will find movies titled 'Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee' with 1 pre-rendered, and several realtime movies...quite stunning if I do say so myself...but they are large, just to warn you. | |

| Oh, embromando means "teasing", and "I am It only embromando" should have said "I am only teasing you", or "I am just kidding." "He has has has" shouldn't have been translated at all, since "Ha Ha Ha" meant that I was laughing, and was not a conjugation of Haber (to have, as in "I have jumped" or "I would have hung"). "How he is my Spanish?" should have been "How is my spanish?" "I feel it if my Spanish is a little lacking" should have been "I'm sorry if my Spanish is a little lacking." "How it is Spain?" should have literally been "How is Spain?" or rather "What is Spain like?" This is easily confusing, since "es" not only means "is," but "it is." "Hay algunos errores?" meant to say "Are there any errors?" rather than "There are some errors?" This is easily confusing, since in Spanish, a statement can be changed into a question just by adding question marks and "Some" and "Any" share the same word: "Algn/Alguno(a)/Algunos(as)." Sorry for the confusion that the sucky translator caused. |

| PS2Fan: It's obvious that you have used the faulty translator of www.dictionary.com/translate . By the way, "Salir" means "I will leave." "Cjale" literally means "Take to/for it/he/she/you(in a formal manner)", but in this context, it means "Fuck You(in a formal manner)!" "Dgame" formally means "Tell me!" "To intention", though the literal translation, actually is meant to say "By The Way" When it translated to "to be of vacations by one and average weeks," it should've said "to be on vacation for one and a half weeks." Trust me, learning another language, Spanish or otherwise, is kinda like learning to program for the PS2: you have to realize you're playing in a whole new ballpark compared to what you were used to before you can commence with the operations, but the results, if done correctly, are extremely satisfying and beneficial. |
