Gradius III & IV Review

IGN kicked up a review of Konami's classic shooter compilation.
Here’s a slice:
Aside from these new additions, these are the same games you know from before. Gradius III displays "1985" in large letters on the title screen and it shows. Also, for some reason, there is a RAM/ROM check screen at the beginning, too. When you start Gradius III, there is the same old voice that says "Destroy them all!" The enemies, the attack patterns and the bosses are all the same. Obviously, it depends on how you feel about Gradius as to whether this is a good or bad thing. Gradius IV is basically the same game as GIII, but with slightly higher detailed models/graphics.

Hey Chaborf about my comment at April 14, 2000 I talked about graphics to show that everyone judges PS2 when it has some little problems at the graphics but nobody says anything about the DC graphics even if they appear with some problems.I wasnt judging DC titles as games generally but the judging behind PS2 games and Dc games.I like DC games OK?As i said before i was comparing the judging of the PS2(graphics) with the judging of the DC.Not games.
And Sega promised that they were ready for everything and there is no chance DC wont become the number one console..They said DC will not have the same problems as the saturn.They said that PS2 will never be able to compete DC because or it will come too late or too early.The technology of the DC is the best they said and it would be very hard for SONY to compete.They said DC hardware wont be obsolete for some years to come.(By the time it got to Europe and US there were already PCs capable of delivering the same as the DC.)And worse Dc is losing sales in Japan.The same happened with the Saturn.
3rd parties follow PS2 and many of those people who bought a DC are now worried.e.t.c
Are those broken promises enough?
You see I ve been "watching" SEGA's next move from the day they were planning tocreate the Black Belt(Saturn upgrade to model 3)then stopped and started plans about Dural(saturn2)then changed name into Katana and then into Dreamcast.Every single information about Sega's next move to restore there gaming fame wasnt left away from me.If you got every information about SEGA about the next console(now called DC) you will notice the same things i noticed. |
