That design sense is what takes the fore to begin with, in the game's character art and plans for a story (yes, a story in a dancing game). 200 years in the future, a rigorously controlled musical regime dominates public entertainment, and dancing in particular is strictly prohibited by Ducker, the municipal entertainment dictator. The most notorious musical enemies of the state are "Unison," four outlaws who broadcast a pirate TV show filled with righteous dancing action to counteract Ducker's control over the people - you take control of Unison in their quest to liberate the masses through rhythm action.
