New information on Konami’s upcoming PS2 tennis game: (From the Nihon Keizai Shimbun Tuesday morning edition)

TOKYO --Major software developer Konami Co. will next spring release video game software featuring tennis stars, including Martina Hingis and Ai Sugiyama. The firm has signed a licensing agreement with the Women's Tennis Association, which represents players worldwide.

The company concluded similar licensing contracts with Japanese sumo, baseball and other professional sporting bodies.

The agreement, in addition to enabling Konami to use the images of players and data supplied by professional organizations, allows the firm to sublicense the rights to other software producers.
