PriceVideoGames.com Tuesday said that, despite being more than a month from delivery, the PlayStation 2 video game console has been the most frequently searched-for item on the site.

"Over 50% of all searches on the site have been for this hot platform," said Larry O'Connor, chairman and president of Price.com Inc. "We have never seen such intense interest so early. PriceVideoGames.com has prices and sources for nearly 50 games compatible with the PlayStation 2, and over 40 accessories, and all of them are looking to be of great interest to our shoppers."
