Titus leads competition on Playstation2 as the only non-Japanese publisher shipping march 2000

PARIS, France, Oct. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Titus Interactive (Euro NM: TITP), a leading interactive entertainment software company, today announced that it recently secured a major competitive advantage as the only non-Japanese publisher listed as being part of the domestic (Japan) launch of the revolutionary Playstation2 for March 2000 in Japan. Titus' first Playstation2 title, Roadsters Trophy 2000, was also featured during Sony Computer Entertainment official announcement of the launch of the Sony PlayStation2 on September 13, 1999 in Tokyo.

This competitive advantage is the result of an agreement with the Japanese developer, Yuke's, and a Playstation2 license with Sony signed last June with Titus Japan KK. This news follows the confirmation of its fiscal year results and the success of its acquisition strategy combined with an expected growth of its revenues of 350% for the current year. "During the huge launch of the Playstation2 in Japan, where 10 million units of hardware will be shipped the first week, our partnership strategy both in term of development and distribution will pay off. We are projecting initial sales of 200,000 units of Roadsters for Playstation2 in Japan and it is very unusual for a non Japanese publisher to achieve such results," said Eric Cane co-founder and president of Titus Interactive.

Titus Interactive will hold its annual meeting of shareholders on October 18, 1999 at l'espace Etoile St Honore in Paris, France at 4:30pm, which will be followed by an analyst meeting in the same location at 5:00pm.
