This year's iteration of MX is very close to release. MX 2002 featuring Ricky Carmichael is due to hit stores early next week. The game is going to attempt a perfect blend of traditional racing and free-ride madness.
Here is a rundown of the features you can expect:
Robust, addictive freestyle mode including the Bus Jump and Step Up Challenges. The only game featuring 4-time AMA National Champion and 2001 Supercross Champion, Ricky Carmichael. 30 real riders are promised from the 125cc, 250cc and freestyle ranks: Mike Larocco, Kevin Windham, Ezra Lusk and more. 22 motocross, Supercross, amateur and freestyle tracks exclusively featuring Loretta Lynn's Amateur National Championships, the Chevy Trucks U.S. Motocross Championships, the Free Ride Moto-X Championships and the THQ US Open. An innovative stunt combo system enabling an exhaustive list of freestyle tricks including signature moves including Carey Hart's "Hart Attack" and Tommy Clower's "Catwalk". THQ is also promising tight, responsive controls to pull wheelies, stoppies, tail whips and more. Lastly, THQ plans to engage in an exhaustive marketing campaign that will hit the target audience and more.
