Imagine taking the role of an ancient warrior in a survival horror game. Onimiusha: The Demon Warrior was originally planned for the PSX, but Capcom has now decided to bring it to the Playstation 2. After replacing all the pre-rendered backgrounds by real-time polygonal settings, the game, especially the characters, are much more detailed now.
The main character will use weapons such as blades, knifes, swords and probably projectiles. The "Demon's Head" is the main weapon, which serves both as weapon and a shield. However, this game is not primarily in the fighting genre; the game will contain many puzzle-solving elements as well. Capcom has been hyping this game for some time. They claim that within certain battles in the game, there will be over 2000 characters on the screen simultaneously! If Capcom can live up to the hype that they're dishing out, you can look for Onimusha: The Demon Warrior to be one of the PS2's most impressing games.
