Game Notes:
This game was a story of two halves. The first belonging to the Jets and the second to the Steelers. Halftime score was 21-0 Jets but the Steelers never quit and score 14 unanswered in the 2nd half. They were picked off in the endzone once in the third and then again in the fourth with about 3 minutes left while trying to drive to tie the game. After that pick, Steelers coach mpire was quoted as saying That really chaps my hide.

The Jets walk away with the win and one key stat was noted by coach corpkid Zero Picks for Vinny. He gets our game ball today

Week 6 Results

Winning Team: Oakland Raiders
Losing Team: New York Jets
Score: 31-21 Raiders

Player of the game:
Tim Brown
Something like 10 catches for 2 hundred some odd yards, hell post his stats

Total Offense: 264

Passing Stats:
Testaverde 18-28 304 yds 3 TD/2 INT

Rushing Stats:
Testeverde 1-6yds

Coles 3-98 yds 1TD
Martin 3-36 yds
Becht 2-25 yds 1TD

Defensive Stats:
Sam Cowart 7 tak 1 for loss 2 sacks

Game Notes:
Story of the game one word Blitz. The Jets O-line sucks and he sent everyone every down for 3 quarters. I had to abandon the run as you can see Vinny ended up with the most yards for me on the ground. So I was one-dimensional and I hate to be that way. You cant get anything going when you have to pass every down. I was able to find Martin out of the backfield a few times but it wasnt until late in the game. He could do no wrong when he went to Tim Brown as he had 10 catches and my corners could do nothing with him. He out jumped them and then out ran them. Vinny threw 2 picks and that really cost me because he would be blitzing and a WR would come open and instead of hitting the WR, good ole Vin tossed it right at the opposing corner who was rushing at him.

Defensive Stats:
Shawn Ellis 5 tak, 4sacks
Donnie Abraham 3 tak, 1 INT, 1TD

Game Notes:
Couldnt stop Shockey in the air and he tucked it in with Barber at the goaline 5 times. We had tons of turnovers but they sort of offset. Game wasnt pretty. End of Summary!

Chrebet 6-107 yds 2 TD
Moss 2-35 yds 0 TD
Coles 5-109 yds 0TD

Defensive Stats:
Marvin Jones 6 tackles, 1 sack
Aaron Beasley 2 ints

Game Notes:

There were a couple of key plays that made a huge difference in this game. One was a missed FG that could have given the Jets 3 more points, another was a fumble by Santana Moss on a kickoff that led to a Redskins score. Testaverde also tossed a pick in the redzone and Champ Bailey brought it back 20 yards. Those were the mistakes that cost me this game.

Testaverde started for me and just never got anything going but when Pennington came in in the final 6 and a half minutes of this game, it gave the team life and he tossed 2 TDs and almost led the Jets back for the win but the Redskins Defense stepped up and held me and then ran out the clock.

My strategy going in was to make Sage Rosenfels beat me because I didnt think he could. I knew if I stopped Davis and the run game, Id have a chance but I didnt count on Davis having 101 receiving yards and I really didnt count on Rosenfels converting so many third downs through the air.

Game Notes:
Can you say Interception? Well John Madden proved that he could, as there were a combined 10 picks in this game. Some clean, some ugly but 10 picks nonetheless.

I went into this one thinking about the fact that the Jags had been outscored 118-6 this season and felt some pressure to match those scores. Those thoughts took me out of my generally defensive mindset for the first quarter and neither team scored. I was concentrating too hard on trying to post good numbers and not on winning the game. Once I started to realize that I could lose this one, I smartened up and things began to click.

Pennington started the game for me but after going 0 for 3 with 2 picks, he found his way to the bench as Vinny Testaverde led the Jets to 37 unanswered points. This game was fun for me as I was able to distribute the ball all over the place as you can see by the stats and I was also able to get a touchdown to each of my three top receivers and ran one in with Curtis Martin.

My defensive pressure was better than it has been all season as I almost always had someone in the backfield and I held Fred Taylor to 13 yards and even managed a safety with 2 seconds left before half time. When I opted not to blitz, he constantly threw into coverage and that accounted for my 5 picks. Jags had a chance to kick a field goal but shanked it they were also riddled with penalties including several defensive pass interference calls on key third downs.

Thanks for the game Jaik and if I can give you some advice so you dont continue to get killed all season, dont select your defense until the offense selects a formation and make sure you have everyone covered. It was very easy for me to wait until you picked a 4-6 Defensive set and then go 4 or 5 wide, which guaranteed me a mismatch. Good luck from here on out, stick with it, playing games with these guys will only make you better.

Week 2 Results

Winning Team: Dallas Cowboys
Losing Team: New York Jets
Final Score: 17-7

Game Summary:

In what turned out to be a rather defensive game, the Cowboys stopped the Jets more than the Jets stopped the Boys, giving Dallas the 17-7 win. The Jets werent out of this one until the waning moments of the fourth quarter when Tim Seder kicked the nail in the Jets coughin.

We went to the half knotted up at 7 but it should be noted that the Jets had a costly goaline fumble by Curtis Martin and a careless red zone pick thrown by Chad Pennington that most likely cost them this game.

Dallas first half scoring was on an 8 yard scamper by the ever elusive Emmitt Smith in the first quarter and the Jets tailed their lone score on a 14 yard toss over the middle to Martin.

Key 3rd down conversions including a 15 yard run by Quincy Carter in the third quarter showed that this Dallas organization is one to be reckoned with. Carter notched his lone TD pas on a post pattern to Ismail in the third. But his key stat was 0 INTs. Dallas won the turnover battle and won this game.

The fourth quarter consisted of a long clock eating drive by the Boys similar to the way they started the first quarter and by the time the Jets stopped Emmitt, it was too late.

Other than the first drive, the Jets never got their offense going and I give props to Snoop for stopping my game plan and forcing me to change my style to try to stick with him.

Jets Stats:
Total Offense: 101

Week 1 Results

Winning Team: New York Jets
Losing Team: Indianapolis Colts
Final Score: 35 to 20

Game Summary:

The game started out all Jets as Pennington hooked up with Chrebet for a 77 yard TD and on the first play of the Colts ensuing drive, Aaron Beasley picked of the Manning pass. Pennington wasted no time going back to Chrebet this time for and 11 yard score and the Jets were up 14-0 less than 2 minutes into the game.

The Colts would come back and capitalize on a Pennington fumble, which Chad Bratzke took to the house towards the end of the first quarter.

The colts started the second quarter with a bang as Manning hooked up with Marcus Pollard for the 15 yard TD after a well put together drive. But The Jets would counter less than a minute later when Santana Moss out ran the safeties to the tune of a 76 yard score.

The Colts made a half time sandwich with a FG on the last drive of the 2nd quarter and another to start the 3rd. But in a game that saw each team turn the ball over 3 times, Pennington tossed a couple third quarter TDs. One to Coles and another to Wayne Chrebet for the hat trick. Putting the Jets on top to stay 35 to 20.

The Colts made an effort in the fourth but came up short on a key 4th down and once the Jets took over on Offense, Curtis Martin made sure the Colts wouldnt get the ball again as the Jets drove to the Colts 5 and let the clock run out like a gentleman.
