Game notes:
A year of pain was relieved today in Cleveland stadium as the Chargers slipped by the Browns in a slugfest. "We forgot just how fast that Browns defense was."coach jiggs commented. The running game was nonexistant with Browns slamming LT to the turf at every turn.(he accually had 28yds Mo but it felt like 10) However LT did make up for the lack of rushing with two catches the longest of the year for him. One went for 71yds.
Baby Hunchback struggled all day with the Browns offense but got the job done."Just like last year we just could not get to Couch(a season low just 2 sacks) that offensive line pick off every blitzer we threw at them." Dr. Luke N. DeMouth. The game could have went either way until Mcneil robbed Couch for a game winning int for a TD.
"Coach Moline7 did a fine job moving the ball on us we had to go back to the basics because we could not see where he was coming from early on." Johnny Hunchback Defensive Coordinator.
This win was particularly sweet for the Chargers after last years disappointment. We needed it. The Raiders are next and after last years last second loss Coach Jiggs will be all over the Chargers in this weeks workouts.
"Unless we get the runnig game going this could be a tough season to finish." Lockjaw Lewis San deigo Gazette

Game notes:
Technical difficulties marred an otherwise well played game. The lights went out shortly before the start of the second Quarter with the Chargers on top 14-0. The game finally restarted and the Chargers added another score to take a 3 score lead. The Vikings scored with little time left to close the half.
The second half saw the Vikings close to within 7 with another score after that the game was evenly played until the end when the Chargers added an "oh by the way" FG to close the scoring.
"We were lucky to get this one because I dont know a better coach in the the close ones than Clowd." commented coach jiggs. "Truly this veteran of the league is a class act," The Good Doctor on coach Clowd "He knows the game." "Things dont get no easier from here with the Browns on our plate next." Lockjaw Lewis The San Diego Gazette. The Chargers seek revenge for a second round playoff defeat.

Game Notes
The opening kickoff found the Lions in the endzone and coach jiggs was furious "I could have threw my face on the ground!" he shouted. After barking at his special teams for giving yet another long return the team settled in and took control of the game.
Baby Hunchback and The Blitzing wizards did thier job and the offense did not do anything dumb to put them in bad situations this day. "This team still has a long way to go the special teams have let us down in too many times in the past." TGD There was one bright spot for that unit and that was a 60yd punt return for a TD.
Other than that the Men in Blue had thier way most of the day. "We know the Lions have potential and we are sure they will find that niche" Lockjaw Lewis The San Diego Gazette.

The game was nip and tuck all the way until the end. The Bears played good football. "This team has a long way to go." The Good Doctor. The defense stood their ground recording 6 sacks along with 2ints.

One fine game put in by coach Peso using his tools well to get the lead and control the football to finish off a bumbling Charger offense.
The usual suspects here brick hands lack of recognition of your own men you know. Coach Jiggs commented" We never gave our defense a chance too many mistakes today." Once again a fine job by Coach Peso.
Week 2 Results
Winning Team: Chargers
Losing Team: Steelers
Final Score: 35-7
This game is a prelude to a possible AFC playoff match-up. The Steelers struggled all day. A early hit knocking Stewart out temporarly seem to take the wind out of the Steeler Offense and set the Tone for the rest of the game.
Johnny Hunchback the defensive coach commented "We were fortunate Stewart seemed out of sync because our entire focus was on Bettis. After many wars with former Steelers boss Snoopjoop we had an idea how to control Bettis." The defense(Baby Hunchback, derived from the original Hunchback defense) did a fine job slowing down a explosive Steeler attack.
On the offense side of the ball it was a typical Blue Men effort. Just let the defense do it. Coach Jiggs is still not happy with the offense. At least they did not put the defense in bad situations. Seven takeaways does not hurt. Once again LT did a fine job catching the ball out of the backfield for good yardage.
"Overall the Steelers did not play like we know they could, we got lucky we caught them before they got the train rolling." Dr Luke N. DeMouth(longtime Charger announcer) "The Steelers will bounce back and we look to see them again in the playoffs." Lockjaw Lewis San Diego Gazette.
"Dis Teem beter play goot If not for mee dis coach wood hab no joob" VooDoo Sam Renegade leader.

Week 1 Results
winning team: Chargers
losing team: Bengals
Final score: 35-14
The Chargers came out to defend thier West title with a win over the Bengals. Early on the Bengals were sky high scoring on thier first drive.
After surrendering the ball with Brees only int for the day. Cincy drove the ball down to the Charger 4 to be denied missing a chip shot.
Another Charger turnover gave the Bengals another oppotunity to increase thier lead only to be intercepted in the end zone and returned for a Charger score changing the momentum. From there on it was all Chargers.
The Good Doctor had this to say "It was a tough game early on the Bengals played with a lot of heart we respect them." After last years victory over The Bengals in week one this the second year straight the Bengals have opend against the Chargers giving The men in Blue a perfect record against Cincy.
"Charger Nation is once again en vouge." Voodoo Sam... Renegade Leader. *the Charger organization does not endorse this man.*
