Game of the WeekMVPElway7's PicksJayPeso's Power Rankings
This is the first addition of the weekly article named "Shawn's, Who's Hot, Who's Not" This article will discuss Something no other current article is dealing with, the individual Stats section. There will be the top 5 hot players in the league, then the top who's not in the league.

WHO'S HOT:

Stephen Davis
The Redskins Stephen Davis put up some great number in his week three game against the New England Patriots. Davis was on fire in this game just like he has been all season long. But the interesting thing is that he really is not getting noticed by me for the rushing part but the spectacular receiving skills being put to work. He had 4 receptions for 99 yards and a very timely 54 yard Touchdown run taken to the HOUSE!! Stephen Davis desires the recognition because he is helping his team get the W.

Brain Griese
Now this next guy does come to me a surprise but if you’re putting up numbers like he did in week three you should be here. Brain Griese was a gun slinger in his week three game throwing 4 touchdowns for 256 going 19 for 27 and only giving up 1 pick. These are numbers that the best Quarterback in the league would love to have at the end of the game. Brian is as hot as a fire ball right now, but I don’t think he is the only player on Denver to watch out for. The recently un-Retired Davis is putting up very solid numbers to contribute to the wins (23 attempts for 133 yards and 2 TDS). If both Griese and Davis keep this going watch out because the play-offs might take its turn into Denver

Steve McNair
I was the one who had the bad luck of playing Ricky Trotter and the Titans when McNair got hot. McNair’s completions and touchdowns weren’t the reason he made this list but the Quarterback rating was off the hook (a 132 rating in the game). McNair had 13 completions out of 21 attempts (Not bad considering he did get hurt during the game) With 235 yards in the game and 2 TD Passes.

Drew Bledsoe
This was a very well matched game which paired Dallas against the Bills. Buffalo put 35 points up on the board and believe it or not still did not win the game. Even though Drew didn’t win the game he still put up stellar numbers. Going on 34 attempts for 20 completions, while tossing 477 yards with 4, count them 4 TDs and still did not get the win (wow), that says something about The Cowboys this year. Drew is great quarterback and is showing everyone that he can still play.

Donnie Abraham
J-E-T-S JETS, JETS, JETS!!!! The fans where yelling this at the Jets and Jaguars game. This may not be a main stream player like the other 4 HOT players of the week, but Donnie put numbers up that I couldn’t look past. He had 4 picks, 1 tackle, 3 pass Deflections, and finally 1 TD. As you can see this category is not just for the offensive hotties in psx2 but also the Defense of powerhouses. One last thing, just because the Jets played Jaik doesn’t mean who ever plays Jaik will be a HOT player of the week. (Just joking there Jaik)

WHO’S NOT:

Priest Holmes
Priest Holmes is one of the best players in the league week in week out, well in the NFL he is but not in the Psx2 league. With only 9 carries on the day priest got a hellish 14 yards. Now the only reason I’m picking on Priest over these numbers us that he has the talent to be a league MVP. When looking over this game I did see that the defense priest was playing against was a good one in the Stealers, so I won’t lay it down on Priest too hard, but if he puts up these types of numbers against the jaguars I will flip-out. So my advice for Priest to not find his way back onto this list, Talk to your coach and say "GET ME THE DAMN BALL".

Mark Brunell
I know I shouldn’t be picking on Jaik so much but when you have a pretty good quarterback in the huddle, you should at least put up some better number then 10 completions out of 34 attempts with a grand total of 203 yards, but here is the best part, throwing 4 picks. I would have loved to see the QB rating after that great game, lol. This team is going downhill fast when your QB doesn’t produce and you look toward your running back who takes 9 attempts and gets -13 yards. Now who do you turn too?

Jeff Blake
Blake is as cold as ice. But his team is winning. The 3-0 Ravens are on the back of Lewis not Blake. Now I’m not sure if the Ravens just don’t trust Blake or think Lewis a God, but he is not throwing the ball. Playing a game like this where your quarterback only throws the ball 16 times is dangerous, sooner or later someone will find out that all you’re doing is running. Here’s the line on Blake: 6 for 15 with a pitiful 65 yards and 1 TD, 1 INT. Now I can understand when you only pull out 65 yards if you play a great defense but last I checked the Chargers where a good defense not a great one.

Jay Fielder
Since Blake is on the list Jay has to be on this list. Somehow Jay managed to throw for less then 65 yards. Fielder has a 24 QB rating with a single pick, and 45 YARDS. But, there is a but here, Jay did have to play one of the best Defenses in the game… (the eagles)… One last thing when your RB Williams only has 27 yards I’m trying to figure out how you get points up on the board.

James Stewart
In this game James tried but just could not get it going. As madden would say "pound the run and something with happen" well sorry Lions nothing happened for Stewart on the running game. The loins coach had the patience to watch Stewart average 1 yard per carry. Now Stewart is not as great as Holmes but he should still be able to get better than just over a yard per carry. James had 13 carries for 15 yards. WOW. Anyway he was playing a pretty good team in Green bay.
