This game started out all Panthers. The Giants had the ball first and threw and interception and gave me the ball at about the 30, he held and I kicked a FG. Next possesion, another Pick!! This time I take advantage and score on a D. Foster run, up 9-0 (missed kick). The Giants threw in a couple of scores but never really got close the rest of the game. My D was awesome this game starting out with the 2 picks and holding the Giants to 2-11 on 3rd down!!! Barber really had no running room all game and the 52 yards rushing total (15 yards to a QB scramble) reflect pretty much the story of the game. The Giants couldn't get anything going on offense while mine did great at running the ball. Foster was one yard shy of 100 and helped me out tremendously with ball control and clock management. I finally went back to the basics and starting running the ball again.

Wow, at about 2 min left in the second quarter, I thought I was in control of this game!!! I had just scored on a TD run by Foster, and everything I tried on offense was working great!! I drove down to the Redskins 20 and threw a great pass to Jeffers, TD!!! up 14-0 right... wrong, holding on the offense, bring it back out of FG range. And that's where my game ended. I called a flanker play for my FB and he looked to be covered so I went to throw to my TE and oops hits the O button and the pass sails to Bailey. The Skins go down and score very easily to have the game tied at 7 going into the half.
He got the ball first went down and scored easily on me again in the first possesion of the second half. My offense fell apart here...(wait if you listen close enough you can hear them hit rock bottom, lol). For some reason I felt that I couldn't go score for score with him I was out of it so I abandoned the running game (which was going about 4.6 ypc). I made some poor coaching errors in this one, I give it up to M22J, he made some great adjustments at half.
My D continues to suck it up on my 4 game skid... No matter what D I call, I just cannot cover any WR in this game. Also, I made him fumble 3 times this game, twice in one play, and did not get one single one of them.

Well how can I put this lightly... My F'n Team sucks!!! The first few games must have been miracles because it has finally caught up with me. The can't catch a freakin cold... I must have had at least 100000 dropped passes this game or at least it felt like it. How fitting that the game ends with a dropped pass too. Nothing went right for my team, I am sick of this crap - guys get open, you throw them the ball and they drop it.
And my Defense, what a bunch of stupid asses... the pass up top to Harrison was open all game and there was nothing I could do about it. all brad had to do to get a first down was press X then tap the O button, easy as that. Edgerin James fumbled once then it bounced off of my defender into the hands of, yep you guessed it, Harrison.
There is no way I can contend with this team, no matter how well of a game plan I come up with (which wasn't too good tonight), it won't matter because my team can't keep up with the talent of other teams... I guess I'll just stick it out and just get a good pick for Madden 2004. If you can't tell, I'm just really pissed off because I feel handicapped with this crappy ass team. Oh well, I'll get over it.. in time for my ass whopping by the Redskins next week.

Well Brad summed it up perfectly by saying I was just out muscled... I think if I had a team even ranked in the 80's, I might have been able to pull this out. My D was holding great all game. Brad started off with a FG then I drove down to the Bucs 1. On fourth down I decided to go for it, and my slow a$$ FB got in the way...5 yard loss, and I knew the game was going to be crappy. I ended up throwing 6 INT's, but with that said I still had a little bit of a chance. The game was a bit closer than the 24-10 score shows, but with me only giving up 24 to the Bucs, I guess it shows how good my D played.
Great Job Brad!! Your D crushed me all game, I couldn't really get in a groove. Peete had to scramble so much that my bad passes got easily picked off by your great DB's...But just remember, when we play next week--- you don't have that great D to fall back on!!!

Well Folks... I tried my best with the sucky guys I have, but I just couldn't keep up. We were actually tied at 14-14 at one point in the second quarter, but it feel apart. My DB's would go the wrong way to try to defend passes, my WR's would drop easy passes... nothing went right. I am happy I managed to put up 24 against the stingy Eagles D. I threw 4 INT's, but 3 of them were late in the 4th when the game was already out of hand, so the turnovers weren't too bad. All I can say is that with the talent I had against the talent he had, it was really no match....
Great Job Vcize, you easily found the holes on my D with the awesome fire power you have on offense. Good luck trying to beat him folks...

Game Notes
This was a learning experience for AndNorth14 as we had some rules problems during the game. I talked with him after the game and I think we have it squared out.
The first half was horrible with us combining for 7 points and 236 total yards. The second half didn't get much better. We both could not get our offenses going. Both of us missed 2 FG's during the game.
Peete had an off day, but was injured for 2 quarters. Foster had a really bad day rushing, but I attribute that to the DT being moved off of the line over near the MLB before the snap, causing mass confusion to my OLine. He still ended up with 47 yards on 16 carries and ran out some clock in the 4th Quarter.
My D stepped it up getting 5 sacks and Jenkins Intercepting the ball and taking it to the house with 1:00 left to give me the 17-7 lead.
It was an all around poor game for offense, I heard the crowd demand their money back after this one folks!!
AndNorth14 played a pretty good game, looks like he has to get accustomed to the rules and his team a little better, but I believe he will outperform what Jaik was doing before he got here!! Good Luck to you in your future games AndNorth14!!

Game Notes:
First game we played got dc'd in the 2nd quarter with the score 21-17 Saints and I had the ball about to score a TD. We decided to restart.
Game started out very quickly for the Panthers. They got the ball first, drove down to the redzone and kicked a FG. Held the Saints to a punt on the next possesion. Got the ball back, and Foster injuried his knee!!! Smith stepped in and got us in the end zone with a 4yrd TD run. In the second quarter, Smith once again found paydirt for a 1 yrd TD run.
Then came the fumble... Peete got rocked and fumbled, Norman Hand picks it up and rumbles 48 yrds for a TD!!! I can't believe I couldn't catch this guy. The Saints then got within 3 with a TD run by McAllister. That's as close at they would get, with the Panthers scoring the next 2 TD's to put it out of reach.
The Defense played great again this week only allowing 40 yrds rushing.. and Deuce only had 19 yards on 12 Attempts!!! Aaron Brooks was held in check only completing 8 of 27 passes (29%). My D is starting to play well consistently. For the past 2 weeks, I have only given up 65 yrds total rushing!! The Pathers D is really suprising me with the great run and pass stopping.
The Offense was great as usual, even with all of the injuries!!! Foster was out most of the game but got his 102 yrds on only 17 carries. If he wouldn't have been injured, he would have put up 200 again. However, Smith stepped in beautifully and scored 3 big TDs. Peete was the man again, but like Foster only played half the game. He had great control of the ball and threw one INT when the game froze on us. Weinke stepped in and just tried not to mess up!!!
Overall a great game for the Panthers and they look forward to their by-week!!
LSUFAN couldn't really get the running game going because I did a good job of boxing Deuce to the Inside. The passing game was hit-and-miss, but of the ones he hit, they went pretty long on me. Good Job LSUFAN, I look forward to playing you again!!

Game Notes:
Finally the Panthers get a solid game from the Defense while holding on to the ball on offense. The Cardinals got the ball first and the drive was stopped by an interception from the safety. This set the tone for a great defensive day. Plummer was hurried all day long and my CB's knocked a lot of balls down. The Cardinals were really forced into throwing the ball all game because my d stepped up against the run. Plummer threw the ball 41 times!!! but only completed 14 of them (34%). I got beat a couple of times deep but it was a good D performance.
I continue to be suprised by my offense. Peete put up great numbers again this week throwing for 280 yards and completing 55% of his passes with no INT's. Foster was the man rushing for 194 yrds @ 6.9 ypc. He broke a long one in the 1st quarter going for 77 yrds.
My D is still trying to come together, but If I can put up points like I did today, every week, I might not need them!!!
Great Job Spencer, I thought you had me after that fumble return for a TD to get within 7!!! Good Luck with the rest of the season!!!

Game Notes:
First off, my team got screwed over so bad it hurt this game. My first running play was a fumble, and that kind of sucked, but then I got the ball back and my WR fumbled on the first play, then I knew the game was over, because my team was not going to catch any breaks. On the offensive side, The Panthers did not want to run the ball much because of the early fumble, so Foster ended up with only 15 yards rushing on 2 carries. The passing game went very well with Peete at the helm going for 346 yards and 2 tds on 14 of 26 passing. Foster got free a couple of times and got most of his 91 yards receiving after the catch. On defense, the panthers played very well against everything except Vick. The D held the Falcons to many 3rd down situations over 5 yards, but Vick scrambled and got the first down on most of them due to the lack of speed on the Panthers front 7. Hats off to Dajo, he found my weakness on D and exploited it to the fullest.
